Nick's Eagle Court of Honor - October 17, 2018

NICK'S EAGLE COURT OF HONOR - October 17, 2108

Justin Beasly was the committee chair during Nick's time in scouts.  There are so many fun memories with Justin pulling pranks on the boys through the years.

Jerry Biang was the Young Men's President for the first few years of Nick's scouting career.  He helped shape Nick into the young man he is today.

Sean Kelly is the current Young Men's President.  Nick really looks up to him.

Steve and Nick worked so hard on this project and this night is the culmination of  months of labor.

A quick hug.

Nick giving me my mother's pin.

Nick giving Steve his father's pin.

Another quick hug.

I had the honor of pinning him with his Eagle.

Nick chose Jeremy to dress him in his Eagle neckerchief.  Jeremy had dressed him in his Boy Scout neckerchief at his crossing over from cubs to scouts so this was a great way to finish up that timeline.

So proud of these two boys.

This hug was a little longer and more heart felt.  They are going to miss each other (no matter what they may tell you)

For Nick, this was the highlight of the night - receiving his custom-made knife.

That smile says it all.

We had a full house there to honor Nick in his accomplishment.

Mr. McSwan, Nick's chorus teacher.  Nick really loves having him as a teacher.

Mr. McSwain (current teacher), Nick and Mr. Herron (7th grade) - two of Nick's favorite teachers of all time.
After the ceremony, we played the DVD slide show of Nick's Trail to Eagle (a few of which are below) while I got the food ready.  Nick had picked his favorites - Bojangles and mac n cheese with homemade oreos for dessert.  It was a perfect night.  The perfect way to finish up Nick's journey through scouts.  Thank you to all who helped him along the way and who were there to support him that night.
